Christmas Hacker Warning

Well, I got hacked for Christmas this year. I highly suspect this man/woman is the same person who tried to friend me on FB but then was unwilling to share about themselves. Two days ago I got a phone call from someone claiming to be Microsoft and wanting me to give them my ISP because “there is a virus on your computer, okay? Thank you.”  Since I had just updated everything and Defender didn’t find anything, I knew it was fake — well, that and if they could check out my comp for viruses other than with my own software, they already would have had my ISP.

mr-grinchWhoever you are in Taiwan, well, Merry Christmas to you, too. 😦

This person had been working at it for the last few days and I thought I had it taken care of yesterday. Then I got the email from Microsoft and when I looked into it, I found they had hacked my other email.

The FB account had a profile pic  of a guy holding a dog. They are in a log cabin. His cover photo showed him on the couch in the same cabin, with a guy sleeping next to him. He claimed to be from Texas and when I tried to get more information about him, he used “okay and thank you” at the end of every so-called answer. Needless to say, I blocked him.

I don’t know if this person will use the same photos for making more trouble, but just in case, I want to get that out there.

My WordPress is okay. I changed the password to something much more difficult and have been working on checking and changing passwords.

In spite of it all, I am going to enjoy my Christmas and I want to wish everyone safe and happy holidays!
