Fear Of Flying

When I stand on the edge and look down
My feet seem to lose touch with the ground
My eyes start to blur and my head starts to swoon
Unlike the flight of a weightless balloon
I am fearful and weighted
With a spirit berated
I step back, sit down, wearing a frown
I’ll do it – not now – but soon.
